Introduction

In a Kurdish mountain village where storks winter, 78-year-old Khadijeh, a full-time carer for her elderly husband, devotes herself to nursing a wounded bird. As her daughter contemplates life abroad, an allegory of migration unfolds in two layers: human and avian. Infused with radiant grandmotherly energy, Singing Wings intimately observes a life of dedication, in which love persists and compassion soars.
