Introduction

In a remote mountain village, eight-year-old Gong Youbin lives a quiet life with his father and grandparents, crafting verse from solitude. As he grows older, he begins to shoulder the weight of family responsibilities while continuing to write. The poems echo Gong’s inner world, the surrounding landscape, and the quiet passage of time. Etched in calligraphy and infused with striking imagery, his words carry grace amid the humble rhythms of rural life.
