Introduction

Jon M. Chu, director of the BAFTA and Oscar-winning Wicked, joins us ahead of this November’s epic conclusion to the story, to give some insight into his creative journey as he reimagined the mythical land of Oz for a new generation. Taking us behind the curtain of his global blockbuster cinematic event, Jon M. Chu shares an inside look how his adaptation of the iconic stage musical was made. This in-depth conversation will explore his creative process: from adaptation and casting to the extraordinary world-building design and fully developing the emotional heartbeat of Elphaba and Glinda’s deep bond. The conversation will also delve into this year’s Wicked: For Good, offering early insights into what’s next for the saga and giving the audience an exciting glimpse into the vision behind one of the most highly anticipated film events of the year.
