Introduction

Roger, a journalist with writer’s block, is dating Casey, a widow and mother who’s clear about her needs. His ex, Nicole, is fighting to hold onto her art gallery. As a love triangle develops, their native borough undergoes increasing gentrification. Channelling the spirit of films like Brown Sugar and Love Jones, Holder has created a Black rom-com that delights in every possible way.
