Professor Stuart Hall, founder of British cultural studies, was a leading thinker whose ideas on diaspora, Marxism, race and class transformed how British society is understood. His pioneering work on media, remains essential for analysing the political and cultural dynamics of multiculturalism. We look back on his impact in association with the Stuart Hall Foundation, through a screening and discussion featuring programmes he made with CARM (Campaign Against Racism in the Media) and the Commission for Racial Equality.

Tickets £6.50.

The two TV programmes will include descriptive subtitles, and the discussion will include live captions and a BSL interpreter.
