Introduction
Step into the world of Pride and Prejudice, where wit, romance and social satire intertwine in one of literature’s most enduring love stories. Jane Austen’s masterpiece has captivated readers for over two centuries, with Elizabeth and Darcy remaining one of literature’s most iconic couples. The story has found new life on screen, through countless adaptations – most notably the iconic 1995 BBC series with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, and Joe Wright’s lush 2005 film adaptation starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen – inviting new generations to fall in love with its charm and elegance.
Join us as we celebrate the cinematic legacy and lasting romance of Pride and Prejudice, a tale that continues to enchant, inspire, and remind us that first impressions are not always the last word.
