Introduction

This event brings together two of our most prolific voices in the field of film criticism for a wide-ranging conversation on the craft of writing, using their shared interest in horror cinema as a springboard.

Speakers

  • Anna Bogutskaya is co-creator of the Final Girls film collective and author of the non-fiction works Unlikeable Female Characters and Feeding the Monster: Why Horror Has a Hold on Us. • Kim Newman is a film critic, film historian and novelist. He is a veteran contributor to Sight and Sound and Empire Magazine (gracing every issue since #1), and he is author of a mountain of books, including the cult cinema tomes Nightmare Movies and Video Dungeon and the series of alternate-history novels, Anno Dracula
