Screenings with closed caption descriptive subtitles via WatchWord smart glasses
Screenings with subtitles of dialogue and non-dialogue audio that you’ll see through WatchWord smart glasses collected from the box office.
Closed Caption tickets have been ringfenced and may still be available even if the screening is marked as ‘Sold out’.
BFI Flare London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is excited to bring WatchWord caption glasses to a number of our screenings.
WatchWord uses technology to integrate captions into your cinematic experience. The captions are transmitted to state-of-the-art smart glasses, and you have the freedom to customise your caption experience choosing the perfect text colour, size, and position that suits your preferences.
To book tickets for a WatchWord-enabled screening, please select the price type WatchWord glasses. In case of booking issues email [email protected] or contact the Box Office via telephone at 020 7960 2102 (lines open 12pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays) and quote ACCESS. You can also visit our in-person Box Office to book. Please specify that you would like to book WatchWord smart glasses tickets. Bookings will close 48 hours ahead of the screening.
The following films will be screened with closed captions, including descriptions of non-dialogue audio. The captions will be displayed on WatchWord smart glasses. Glasses are limited and must be booked in advance.
