Australia 1992. Director Baz Luhrmann. With Tara Morice, Bill Hunter, Pat Thomson. Digital 4K. 12A. 95min. A Vertigo re-release.
Baz Luhrmann's iconic debut feature, a glittering love story on the dance floor, returns to the big screen in dazzling 4K.
Scott, a male dancer who refuses to follow the accepted rules of ballroom, rebels and creates his own style of choreography, infuriating the ballroom dancing establishment. Before he's scheduled to compete in the championships, he's forced to take up and train a new partner. Vibrant, energetic, and popping with a sensational soundtrack, Luhrmann’s classic romantic comedy-drama is a ridiculously fun and swooning celebration of self-expression.
