Introduction
Thooya, a migrant who yearns for her childhood and her village, is forced to sublet her Mumbai apartment. But letting someone into your space also means that you let them into your life. Roy intertwines the forced intimacy of strangers who become flatmates as they face the stark reality of surviving in Mumbai. It’s a tender and poetic ode to selfhood and unexpected friendship.
