Screenings and events with British Sign Language (BSL)

Events, and screenings where the introduction and Q&A will have British sign language (BSL).

  • A limited number of tickets are set aside for BSL interpreted events for customers who require this service. Seats are allocated to ensure a clear view of the stage for lip-reading or of the interpreter.
  • Access tickets are kept aside, even if general tickets for a screening or event are sold out. These are available on a first come, first served basis, and are subject to BFI Membership priority booking periods.
  • To book, please contact our box office on 020 7960 2102 (lines open 10:00 to 20:30 daily) or email [email protected] and quote ACCESS.
  • We welcome calls using text relay services.
  • Additional BSL interpreted introductions and Q&As may be added. Please check back for further updates.
  • BSL interpreters can be arranged for selected introductions / Q&As and events on request. Please email our Accessibility Coordinator, Sharon Calcutt Cheadle, at [email protected] for more information. Requests should be made as far in advance as possible. Normally, at least 72 hours' notice is needed. BSL interpreting is provided subject to interpreter availability.
