1. What LFF is all about
Our 12-day programme is jam-packed with the world’s best new films, series and immersive storytelling. This is your chance to delight in the undiscovered, as all feature films and series are being shown in the UK for the first (and sometimes the only) time.
Red carpet premieres
Our Galas at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall are exciting public premieres of some of the most highly anticipated films of the year. Don’t worry, you don’t need a team of stylists as there’s no dress code here; just come in whatever’s comfortable.
The world’s top talent in conversation
Our popular Screen Talks are in-depth interviews with leaders in contemporary cinema – with previous speakers including Lupita Nyong’o, Denis Villeneuve and Daniel Kaluuya. Join us in person or catch up first exclusively on BFI Player, and on BFI YouTube.
Immersive storytelling and games
Step into our programme of immersive art and extended reality (XR). From gaming design to interactive exhibitions, discover an extraordinary virtual world. Never tried it before? Take your pick from our experiences – and prepare to be wowed.
Programme strands
With so much choice, our films, series, games and immersive exhibits are placed into thematic strands to help you decide what to watch. Whether you’re in the mood to laugh, be scared silly or take a cinematic journey, we’ve got you covered.
Free events
Don’t miss out on our eclectic line-up of free events, including talks and debates, short film screenings, DJ nights and much more.Explore the line-up now. Book from Thursday 2 October.
