Musicians and the Movies

Fri 13 Oct
16:00-18:00
BFI Southbank (Blue Room)
Tickets £6

Focusing on contemporary music composition in film, this event explores how the discipline has changed in recent years. With pop musicians transitioning to film composers, how has this affected the boundaries between disciplines of score composition, music supervision and songwriting for the big screen?

We’re delighted to be joined by musician and composer Niraj Chag, who will discuss his work in music (Along the Dusty Road, Mud Doll), film and television (All in Good Time, our Girl), theatre (Much Ado About Nothing, Dara) and more. This event will be hosted by BFI Future Film Programmer Iyare Igiehon.
