Introduction

Relocated to her family’s summerhouse for the long school holidays, Fanny is conflicted. Whilst cherishing moments with her terminally ill mother, like any teenager Fanny longs for some release – just to be herself and have some fun. Sylvia Le Fanu’s intimate and refreshing debut shows itself to be both poignant and carefree, quietly balancing small joys and the fleeting beauty of connection within a thundering emotional reality.
