Inspired by A B Casares’ novel The Invention of Morel, UK-based artists Zoe Diakaki and Marina Eleni Mersiadou have created an immersive multi-user experience. Inhibition challenges you to rethink your subjective reality as you journey with two other audience members on a quest around an imaginary island. This performative experience unfolds in three scenes, following the trajectory of the novel’s protagonist. Diakaki and Mersiadou work at the intersection between performance, architecture and 3D design, and this thrilling project explores how scenic installation and spatial performance can challenge the perception of both audiences and performers.
