Introduction

Nevenka Fernández’s political career is taking off, with a dream job working in the cabinet of the popular local mayor. But when she tries to stop his predatory advances and he refuses to take no for an answer, the cost of speaking out becomes all too real. Bollain’s important film is a compelling treatment of what it means to turn a blind eye to gender violence.
