All areas of the building are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. The Hackney Attic bar is accessible by an additional wheelchair lift.
Customers with impaired hearing
We offer a range of facilities for customers with hearing difficulties including assisted hearing facilities and subtitled screenings. Certain performances carry subtitles, including English-language films.
Customers with impaired vision
We offer a range of facilities for those with vision impairments which include contrasting floor textures and stair nosings. Steps in the auditoria are illuminated. There is voice indication in the lifts.
Audio description (a narrated soundtrack) enables people with visual impairment to enjoy films at the cinema. Ask at the Box Office for a headset and you will be able to listen to an additional audio commentary that describes what is happening on screen.
Sight aids – our stairs are fitted with embossed tactile aids under the rail that indicate the steps approaching each level. Three bumps mean that you are on the third step from the landing, two bumps mean that you are on the second step and one bump means that you are on the final step.
