Film student accreditation

Take part in the Festival buzz with a Student Delegate pass.

Student accreditation to the BFI London Film Festival 2017 is available to full-time film students in Further and Higher Education. Student accreditation offers students of film (or related discipline; film must be a prominent element of the course) a unique opportunity to make the most of the Festival.

Student Accreditation offer:

The BFI London Film Festival Student Delegate offer is made up of selected elements of three different strands of the Festival, all subject to availability. They are the Public programme, the Education programme, and the Press and Industry programmes (not accessible to the general public). There are two types of Student Delegate badges:

  • SOLD OUT: Student Extra (£40 inc VAT) entitles a student to attend LFF Press and Industry, Public and Education programme events and screenings before and during the Festival*, Monday 18 September to Sunday 15 October 2017. A Student Extra pass also includes one complimentary ticket to up to two LFF Education events, or one complimentary ticket to the BFI Future Film Day.
  • SOLD OUT: Student Standard (£30 inc VAT) entitles a student to attend LFF Press and Industry, Public and Education programme events and screenings during the Festival period only*, Wednesday 4 October to Sunday 15 October 2017. The number of events and screenings increases significantly during the Festival.

Subject to availability, an individually-named Student Delegate Pass allows a student to attend:

1. Selected LFF Public programme events and screenings* (subject to availability) taking place during the Festival.

2. Screenings and events in the LFF Education programme taking place during the Festival.

3. Selected LFF Industry events during the Festival.

4. Selected LFF Press & Industry screenings* before the Festival (approx. three screenings/day from Mon 18 Sep-Tues 3 Oct) and during the Festival (approx. 20 screenings/day from Wed 4-Sun 15 Oct).

*Access to all LFF Press & Industry and Public events and screenings are subject to availability. We regret that a Student Delegate pass cannot guarantee access to any one screening or event. This is particularly the case for Press and Industry screenings of popular titles such as Gala films.

Student Accreditation does not include ticket booking for individual screenings in the Public programme. Press and Industry screenings are accessed on the day directly with your Student Delegate pass. For the selected Public screenings, tickets are issued on the day at the venue box-office upon presentation of your Student Delegate pass. Advance booking will be required for selected Industry and Education events - booking details will be sent via email.

Applications for Student Accreditation for LFF 2018 will open in August 2018. To register your interest and be notified when applications open, please email: lff.students@bfi.org.uk.
