Introduction

Tam lives in a suburban town near Hanoi. When she discovers her husband’s infidelities, rather than confronting him, she decides to use voodoo to get him back. This results in the appearance of a mysterious house spirit that only Tam and her daughter can see. Linh’s beautiful film, which explores ageing, womanhood and marriage with nuance and humour, marks her out as an exciting director to watch.
