Introduction

Philibert follows his 2023 Berlin Film Festival success, On the Adamant, with another deeply humane study of life in a network of Parisian psychiatric clinics. Averroès and Rosa Parks are two wards at the city’s Esquirol Hospital. The filmmaker documents individual interviews and group conversations with patients, witnessing how doctors and staff seek innovative paths towards rehabilitation, even in a health system stretched to breaking point.
