Introduction

Kapadia (Senna, Amy) is equally at home in fiction and documentary, and his latest project is a genre-bending synthesis. Set in a brutal, totalitarian future world, the director draws on science fiction as a lens through which ‘to examine the huge questions we are facing as a species’ in the hope that society may find solutions before extinction. Samantha Morton adds dramatic heft to this innovative, bold and unconventional film.
