Ridley Scott’s period drama tells the story of Napoleon Bonaparte’s rise to power through the prism of his volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine. It’s the perfect platform for the director to be reunited with his Gladiator star Phoenix and shows Scott at the height of his powers, telling an intimate story against the vast canvas of a turbulent Europe. Expect extravagant action and intense combat in this historical epic on the UK’s largest screen.

This special screening will have a short introduction by Adam Zamoyski, the leading biographer of Napoleon. His books on the subject include Napoleon: The Man Behind the Myth; 1812: Napoleon’s Fatal March on Moscow, and Rites of Peace: The Fall of Napoleon and the Congress of Vienna. There will also be opportunity for book signing before and after the film.
