The first Mission film in the now multi-billion-dollar franchise was based on the TV series of the same name. When a whole team of IMF agents is killed during a mission, protagonist Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is left as the only survivor. Unfortunately IMF, in turn, suspects Hunt of being a mole in the organization and the one responsible for the killings. Hunt then goes on the run in search of the real mole to prove his own innocence and intent on stopping them before they do any more damage. Featuring brilliant stunts and that infamous suspended sequence, Kristen Scott Thomas, Jon Voight and Vanessa Redgrave in a star turn as an arms dealer, the film will always hold a firm position as the one that started it all.
