The tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside the desert fortress the Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads the despot’s five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), a loner and former captive. Fortified in the massive, armoured truck the War Rig, they try to outrun the ruthless warlord and his henchmen in a deadly high-speed chase through the Wasteland.

Fury Road at once became a classic dystopian vision of what is to become of a world of greed and ignorance, where humans have little or no regard for the planet they inhabit and is a timely addition to the science-fiction cinema canon and a warning once again of what can become. Most importantly, Fury Road introduces Furiosa, who leads Miller’s film with an intensity that could only have been created by Miller himself in the one and only Mad Max franchise of chaos.
