Victor Frankenstein successfully resurrects Sparky, his beloved bull-terrier dog, with a bolt of lightning. When his schoolmates discover what he has done, he soon finds himself under pressure to help bring other beloved pets back to life. Shot in glorious black and white, Burton’s animated feature expands on his 1984 short and is an endearing homage to a number of early horror films.
