Parenthood is a real horror in David Lynch’s extraordinary and singular feature debut.
When a young man discovers his girlfriend is pregnant, the responsibilities and pressures of fatherhood unfurl around him in spectacularly surreal fashion. A master of challenging content and form, David Lynch here created a radical, raw and wild first feature. Shot in striking black and white, with oppressive, industrial-landscape production design and equally unsettling sound design, Eraserhead is a unique and disturbing nightmare – Lynch at his most unfiltered.
