Batman Begins

The beginning of an era for Christopher Nolan with the creation of The Dark Knight Trilogy’s first instalment. A young Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), whose training under a mystical vigilante guru Heni Ducard, (Liam Neeson) underpins his creation of a crime-fighting alter ego. When Ducard reveals the League's true purpose, which is no less than the complete destruction of Gotham City, Wayne returns to Gotham intent on cleaning up the city without resorting to murder. With the help of Alfred (Michael Caine), his loyal butler, and Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), a tech expert at Wayne Enterprises, Batman is born.

The Dark Knight

As we return to Gotham City we find that, Batman (Christinane Bale), with the help of his allies Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and DA Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) has been able to keep a tight lid on crime in the city. But when a vile young criminal calling himself the Joker (Heath Ledger) suddenly throws the town into chaos and the caped Crusader begins to tread a fine line between heroism and vigilantism. The Dark Knight goes darker and deeper than any Hollywood movie of its comic-book kind.

The Dark Knight Rises

Set eight years on from the events of the 2008 film The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises sees Batman returning to save Gotham City from the evil clutches of brutal terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy) and his enigmatic cat burglar sidekick, Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway). However, Batman's ability to act as an avenging angel is curtailed by the fact that he is now on Gotham City Police Department's Most Wanted list, having assumed responsibility for the crimes of deceased District Attorney Harvey Dent.
