Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, Everything Everywhere is a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman who can’t seem to finish her taxes. Evelyn (a wonderful Michelle Yeoh) has dreamed of being everything from a singer to a novelist. But in real life she’s caught up with worries about her daughter, Joy (a break-out role from Stephanie Hsu), ignoring her husband Waymond (an exceptional Ke Huy Quan, Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom), and troubled with her visiting father, Gong Gong (James Hong). Then taking a bizarre twist in the tax office Evelyn discovers she can verse jump, through various multi-verses, and finds she must save all of reality from the nihilistic Jobu Tupaki.

Inspired by everything from The Matrix, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Fight Club, endless martial arts classics and even Ratatouille, this is a film with an infinite number of alternative possibilities for the antiheroine Evelyn, filled with real life concerns about mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, coming of age and coming out, life, and everything in between. Like nothing ever before, experience this spectacular soundtrack and compelling vision on the UK’s largest screen for all its multi-verse splendour.
