Max Richter marks World Sleep Day weekend 2024 with the first ever spatial presentation of music from his acclaimed SLEEP project at the BFI IMAX on the morning of Sunday 17 March. The 90-minute, 360° audio event will be accompanied by specially commissioned meditative visuals on the UK's largest cinema screen, as well as a film of Max and his ensemble performing Sleep from his studio in rural Oxfordshire.

This special screening event will be presented in person by Max. Being Sunday morning, the dress code is casual, so come as you are, in PJs or your favourite oversized hoodie. Get ready for bliss in the company of 500 other souls lost in spatial.

Released in 2015, the Sleep project has become a modern musical phenomenon, achieving more than 2 billion streams and climbing. The 8.5 hour work has been performed in full-length live performances in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls. Now, this unique cinema event will represent the first immersive public presentation of SLEEP anywhere in the world.
