Jay was meant to be going to LA. A fresh start, a new photography exhibition, time to rediscover herself in the midst of a separation from her wife and to see if she can find a way back to her marriage. Instead, she’s found herself in the home of childhood best friend – and former crush – Jess. In the most unlikely of places, and with the most unlikely of friends (including a grating but open-hearted gay stand-up comedian), Jay might have found a place to heal from past mistakes. Written and directed by Michelle Ehlen, who stars alongside Shaela Cook and Charlie Steers, Maybe Someday is a charming and intelligent film that finds joy in life’s everyday experiences.
