In Libya, where it is illegal to be gay, Brittania and his friends live underground, having created a new family together to support and care for each other as well as to keep each other laughing. Brittania dreams of a life of freedom in the UK, specifically Manchester’s Canal St, and when he receives a letter inviting him for an interview at the British Embassy it seems he might be on his way. The only obstacle is getting his passport, which is still in his family home...

We are delighted to welcome co-writer/directors Sam Arbor and Adam Ali to join students for an in-depth Q&A exploring the production story of this wonderful new short film.

This event is free to attend but please complete a BFI Flare for Schools ticket request form.
