Bande à part (1964)

Anna Karina stars in Jean-Luc Godard’s heist movie with a playful approach to genre.
Famous for two pleasingly irrelevant scenes – one a dance in a bar, the other a dash through the Louvre – this tale of a girl assailed by two suitors who plan to rob her aunt of a fortune is one of Jean-Luc Godard’s most charmingly nonchalant entertainments, even though the heist has its downside.
