Made by the founders of the Third Cinema movement (clandestinely under a military dictatorship), The Hour of the Furnaces is an epic three-part documentary that examines the liberation struggle waged throughout Latin America, using Argentina as a historical example of the imperialist exploitation of the continent. These rare screenings of this staggering achievement in political cinema should not be missed.

*The 16mm print we have imported for these screenings, which we believe to be the best currently available, is only in fair condition and is scratched/dirty in places. We hope it does not impair the audience's enjoyment of this rare chance to see Hour of the Furnaces projected on film.
