When young ex-soldier Danila (Bodrov) returns home, aimless and trying to make sense of a messy system, he gets embroiled in local gang operations. Filmed on a low budget and with a thumping rock soundtrack, Brother became a cult film in Russia, as both a portrait of a lost generation and a symbol of the early post-Soviet era.

Aged 16-25? £3 tickets are available to book in advance to any film in the season in July and August (excluding TV Gamechanger events, Young Soul Rebels + Q&A and re-release of Do the Right Thing). Sign up now!
