In Tokyo, a group of young friends are shocked by the sudden, unexplained suicide of a colleague. Determined to find out what happened, their investigation leads them to a suspicious floppy disc he left behind. Soon, ghostly images appear on their computer screens, and something even more horrifying travels along the city’s computer networks. A disturbing rumination on the isolation and loneliness of the internet, Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Pulse was truly ahead of its time.
