Cary Grant

Bringing Up Baby

Grant and Hepburn get into plenty of scrapes in this ‘wild’ romcom.

We will now be screening this film digitally which is newly remastered in 2K from original 35mm materials, courtesy of BFI Distribution.

Grant plays David Huxley, a palaeontologist working on a museum’s brontosaurus skeleton, while Hepburn plays Susan Vance, an eccentric heiress. When their paths cross it’s chaos – especially with the added complication of Baby, Susan’s pet leopard. For a masterclass in precision comedy you should look no further, with both leads at the top of their game and clearly relishing every quip and move.
