Some Like It Hot
Enjoy a sparkling 4K restoration of this classic, cross-dressing caper starring Curtis, Lemmon and Monroe.
Dir Billy Wilder
With Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, Marilyn Monroe
A Park Circus release
We grant your cinematic wish with this sparkling 4K restoration of everyone’s favourite comedy. No comedy season could hold its head above the water without Some Like It Hot, constantly voted in polls as the greatest and funniest of them all. It’s set in prohibition Chicago in 1929, where a couple of struggling musicians are in the wrong place at the wrong time when they witness a gangland shooting, and find themselves on the run from the mob. They accept a new gig out of town as part of an all-girl jazz troupe and rock up on the train dragged up and raring to go. This comedy crime caper has a witty script, star power and, above all, plenty of fun at its core.

Of special note for film audiences are celebrations of Krzysztof Komeda - renowned internationally for the music that was integral to the evolution of Polish cinema in the 60s, including landmark films by Polanski and Wajda - and Italian composer and pianist Remo Anzovino, who is inspired by film and visual media and is writer of the soundtrack for Fight For Freedom, a recent film about Muhammad Ali.
