Kathryn Bigelow’s account of the CIA’s lengthy search for Osama bin Laden following the 9/11 attacks centres on a (fictional) CIA intelligence analyst (Chastain), relentless in the pursuit of her prey. Unsurprisingly complex in its narrative details, and controversial in its depiction of torture used for interrogation, the film gives the impression of authenticity – though stereotyping tends to impede the depiction of South Asian characters.

The screening on Tuesday 9 November will be presented with subtitles for the D/deaf and people experiencing hearing loss.

The following screening will have Audio Description: Saturday 6 Nov 17:3; Tuesday 9 November 14:15 Studio; Sunday 28 November 15:20 NFT2.
