Created by Walter Lantz in 1940, Woody Woodpecker starred in hundreds of theatrical shorts until Lantz’s studio closed in 1972. Today, our guest panel discusses what made this loveable bird such a huge success on both film and TV, re-appraising classics such as The Barber of Seville (1944) and Termites from Mars (1952), alongside a sneak peek at some brand new material that hasn’t been released yet.
