Summer 1962. The Algerian War is ending, and in a town in Southwest France a group of schoolfriends find the turbulence of the times intrudes on their intertwined romantic yearnings: shy François (Morel); his friend Maïté (Bouchez); working-class Serge (Rideau); and aloof Henri (Gorny). Téchiné’s heartfelt and sensual coming-of-age story beautifully captures the turbulence of life on the brink of adulthood.
