A favourite of the great Orson Welles, Fellini’s first solo picture provided an early role for prolific Italian comic actor Alberto Sordi (I Vitelloni) as the titular character, the star of a photo comic-strip magazine. Newly-wed Wanda (Bovo) is one of the Sheik’s biggest fans and, while on honeymoon in Rome with her husband Ivan (Trieste), she’s determined to track him down.
