A delightfully freewheeling film, this follows aeronautics expert Graham Dorrington on a scientific and sentimental journey from Queen Mary College London to the high canopy of a remote Guyanan rainforest. The trip, made partly in a revolutionary helium balloon, includes many detours, taking in a host of Herzogian themes: flying and dreaming, dying and living dangerously, responsibility and guilt, the beauty and perilous power of nature… and chickens.
