We first meet Sook-hee (Kim Ok-bin, Thirst) in a blood-soaked rampage against the men who murdered her husband, taking down everyone in her line of sight. The incident brings her to the attention of South Korea’s intelligence agency. Imprisoned in an underground facility for a year, she is trained to be part of an elite group of government assassins with the promise of freedom after 10 years of service. This gonzo action extravaganza from the director of Confession of Murder received a standing ovation at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Tickets £15, concs £12 (Members pay £2 less) on sale to BFI Champions Wednesday 6 September 15:00, BFI Members Wednesday 6 September 16:00 and to the public from Thursday 7 September 16:00.
