With over 30 years’ service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Maverick returns to the elite Top Gun school to prepare some of the best flyers for a specialised mission. Cruise plays Maverick as stronger and weathered, but more vulnerable, revealing deeper layers to his character. He also takes us through a series of astonishing aerial sequences – so kinetic and realistic that we could be in the cockpit. The original Top Gun flew us high, but with Top Gun: Maverick we positively soar.
