Tony Hancock was one of our most beloved comics and his legendary Hancock’s Half Hour series for the BBC was the inspiration for many subsequent comedy shows. In this special event, our colleagues at Kaleidoscope take us behind Hancock the comedian and tells his life story through the phenomenal archive amassed by the Tony Hancock Appreciation Society. It features rarely seen footage, including adverts, trails and a newly restored edition of the ATV Hancock series. A new book, launching at this event, includes a complete chronological timeline of Hancock’s life, including stage shows and broadcasts.
