Poitier plays Crease, a retired CIA agent and member of an expert security team who are blackmailed by government agents into stealing a mysterious black box, only to find themselves ensnared in a web of intrigue. Following a trailblazing career as the first superstar Black actor, Poitier gives an enjoyably collegial performance in his penultimate big screen role.
