Isaac Hayes’ soul soundtrack is a funky, jazz-infused masterpiece that provides added texture to the film as we follow private eye John Shaft, trying to track down a mobster’s daughter who’s been kidnapped by the mafia. One of the earliest and most important blaxploitation films, Shaft is in a class of its own.

The screening on Wednesday 21 February features an intro by Kunle Olulode, Director Voice4Change.
