WTVA Presents
The Saint: Teresa + The Avengers: A Touch of Brimstone
+ intro by Dick Fiddy, Archive TV Programmer
This hugely entertaining double bill is a reminder that the Scala was just as enthusiastic about programming outré TV as it was big-screen shockers.
Unfortunately, due to poor print condition, we are unable to screen the 35mm print of The Saint: Teresa. We will now screen a 16mm print of this title from the BFI National Archive. We apologise for any disappointment.

Part of the Scala’s eclectic mix of programming was cult television delivered via WTVA (Wider Television Access), a group of enthusiasts keen on providing access to vintage TV in an era before home video and nostalgia TV channels. There was massive audience interest, particularly in music shows, The Avengers and the ITC action/adventure series. This programme pays tribute to them.
To recreate the authentic Scala experience, these episodes will be screened from prints (16mm and 35mm respectively).
Total running time 125min.
