Polanski’s taut psychological thriller boasts an excellent performance by Mia Farrow.
Dir Roman Polanski
With Mia Farrow, John Casasavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer
Adapted from Ira Levin’s novel, Polanski’s psychological thriller centres on a pregnant young woman (Farrow), recently moved into a New York apartment, who comes to harbour sinister suspicions about her neighbours and her husband (Cassavetes). The famous Dakota building – home to many movie stars over the years – makes a fitting venue for the protagonist’s diabolical anxieties.
