Philosophical Screens: Dance, Girl, Dance
Join our regular film philosophers for a discussion about one of Dorothy Arzner’s best-known films.
- Total running time 60min
Lucy Bolton, Ben Tyrer and Catherine Wheatley turn their philosophical lens towards Dorothy Arzner’s feminist beacon. Looking at the film as a comedic riposte to the male gaze, the panel will consider Arzner’s revolutionary direction, the sources of humour and subversion within the film, and questions of gender and authorship.
Free to ticket holders of Dance, Girl, Dance + intro on Tuesday 27 February, otherwise £6.50 (must be booked in advance due to capacity).
The new NFT3 entrance is in the main foyer.
